Rombald Stride Winter Challenge

The Rombald Stride Winter Challenge is a long-distance walking event organized by the Long Distance Walkers Association (LDWA). Here are the details:

• Date: Saturday, February 1, 2025
• Distance: 23 miles (approximately 37 kilometers)
• Time Limit: 10 hours
• Start Time: 09:00
• Route: The walk starts from Guiseley Junior School and takes participants through the Airedale Valley, Rombalds Moor, and Otley Chevin.
• General Notes:
  • Limited entry.
  • Walkers (except Scout Association members) must be 18 years old or older.
  • Checkpoints close based on a 2 mph average walking speed.
  • Limited parking is available at the school.
  • Online entry and chip timing are now available.

  • Cost: £18 for LDWA members, £20 for non-LDWA members (no on-the-day entry).
