Using our decades of cycling know-how, each of the three distance routes offered at our Poppy Rides have been professionally designed.
While you enjoy stunning scenery, rolling hills, and tour past local landmarks – we make sure you have everything you need on this incredible ride. This really is a sportive not to be missed.
By taking part you’re helping us raise vital funds to ensure we can continue to support serving and ex-serving personnel, and their families, for as long as they need us.
Poppy Ride South Downs
Beginning at the iconic Royal Military Academy Sandhurst you’ll ride through these historic grounds before cycling out into the beautiful countryside.

Entry costs: £32 to secure your place
Fundraising: Raise £300 toward our vital work and you’ll also earn an official RBL cycling jersey to wear with pride on the day

There are 3 routes to choose from:
- 152km: This is the longest route which is comparable to the longest day on our iconic Pedal to Paris event. Brush past the iconic South Downs Way with breath-taking views of the hills.
- 100km: An ideal route for both experienced cyclists and those wanting to push themselves on a modestly flat route which takes in green forested areas and beautiful country lanes.
- 50km: An almost completely flat route on local countryside lanes, an ideal introduction for first time event riders.
