The 23rd Chiltern Kanter is a Challenge Event organized by the Long Distance Walkers Association (LDWA). Here are the details:
- Date: Sunday, March 2, 2025
- Region: Southern England
- Local Group: Beds, Bucks, and Northants
- Distance / Time Limit: Participants can choose from 26 miles, 18 miles, or 13 miles, with a maximum time limit of 10.5 hours. All participants must finish by 18:30.
- Start Time: Registration begins at 07:30, with a rolling start from 08:00. Runners start at 09:00.
- Route: The event starts from Pitstone Memorial Hall in Pitstone, LU7 9EY. It’s a MAP reading event with questions to answer. Recommended maps are LR 165 or EXP 181.
- Entry: Online entries only, available from December 1, 2024, to January 1, 2025, for LDWA members. Open to all from January 2, 2025. The entry limit is 250, with a waiting list.
- Entry Fee: LDWA members pay £10, non-LDWA participants pay £15, and under-18s (accompanied by an adult) enter for free. The entry fee includes drinks, snacks at checkpoints, and a light meal at the finish.
