40th Gatliff Marathon

The 40th Gatliff Marathon is a challenge event organized by the Croydon Outdoor Pursuits & Social Events Club (COPSE). Here are the details:

• Event Name: 40th Gatliff Marathon
• Date: Saturday, October 19, 2024
• Start Time: Rolling start between 07:00 and 10:30 (departure times vary based on route and speed)
• Location: The event starts from Edenbridge Cricket Club, The Matthew Cox Community Pavilion, Blossoms Park, Mill Hill, Edenbridge, Kent, TN8 5DA.
• Distances and Routes:
  • Participants can choose from two distances:
    • 31.5 miles (50 km): A challenging circular route following footpaths and tracks through rural countryside. New routes are designed each year.
    • 15 miles (25 km): A shorter option for those seeking a less strenuous walk.
• Entry Details:
  • Early Bird Rate (entries by August 31st):
    • 50 km route: £16
    • 25 km route: £14
  • Standard Rate (entries between September 1st and October 17th):
    • 50 km route: £18
    • 25 km route: £16
  • On-the-day entry (cash only, with an additional charge of £2):
    • 50 km route: £20
    • 25 km route: £18
  • All food and drink provided by the Gatliff Marathon organisers is included in the entry fees.
